my rev counter is broke ,does anybody have one for a 96 m900 please ?

Did they have a rev counter as standard or a DP add on or similar?

yes darren thats the one is it standard ? i dont like riding without a rev counter

No they were a Ducati Performance add on. There was another similar one listed a week or so back, so they do come up from time to time. Maybe its just the sensor have you checked the wiring?

let me check the wiring im a bit broke atm
where is the sensor located ?

tbh I don't know how they work, if there is a sensor or if they work by counting the ignition pulses would be my guess or maybe alternator voltage. I'm sure if you trace the wiring back you'll be able to see where it connects. Have you been out riding in rain or jetwashed? If so my guess would be that you've got water in somewhere or a bad connection. The connectors and wiring are not really that waterproof on those earlier bikes especially. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me could help, maybe the seller?

If I am correct. The early Monster didn't have a rev counter as standard. This was put over as a feature of the bike that it didn't need one.

Ducati performance offered one. It is 'D' shaped and has a LED display.
If this is what you have and the head is not working I can help you as I have one surplus to requirements.
