Apologies if this has been discussed before but google translate suggests we may see a 1200 150bhp monster annnounced at EICMA. :on:

Where do I sign...

EDIT: I know there were spy shots earlier in the summer but these seem more credible no? I'm hoping so as it would be an awesome bike!

A Monster with a 1200 Diavel/Multistrada engine would be a hoot for sure, but I'm still not convinced.

I would have thought it would be styled differently to the current crop of Monsters.

Might just turn out to be a "Mobile Test Bed" for a new engine.

Time will tell.

From other spy shots I'm led to believe it would look quite different. Halfway between a Monster and a Dievel

I quite like that for some reason. I know it looks like a Diavel... but it also looks like a mosnter on steroids! If they are using the 150bhp motor they would surely need to beef things up a little. I think it would be too much to ask for it to look like a "normal" monster... but if it does I'm first on the list as it could be legendary :spin:

There's more of a Diavel look to the front of that.

I'd still buy one though :)

I have no interest in a liquid cooled monster.

Had all the high power bikes over the years and prefer riding a slow bike fast every time over trying to control a bike with too much power on a public road.

Cobra, it won't be long before all the bikes will be water-cooled because of emission controls and making it easier for the manufacturers to meet them. We're already seeing the engine on the Hypermotard I think?

Looks s'alright i suppose, meh. Lot of black plastic where there's supposed to be an engine. Maybe that's just the mule?

Just hope it's not looking too much like a Diavel, especially with that headlight arrangement.

Be good to look similar to the current M1100 model with an S4Rs bomber style headlight. Also a True DNA Ducati Trellis frame too. Instead of these monocoque chassis's.

I think as long as it is called a monster they would get away with it. Should have called the streetfighter the streetmonster... Would have been a huge hit as by all accounts they are a good bike, just fell between the cracks

Don't think the S4R is that bad, perhaps it's more of an issue with self control? That said I think a M1000 is on the cards at some point as the air cooled bikes look loads better IMO.
