Hi all, been a while but started using the old girl a bit more lately and after 7 years it has let me down by melting a ICU/CDI:eek:
So i'm after another but these are unavailble at present from the factory so am trying to source a second hand unit so if you have an old one kicking about that you'de like to sell please get in touch. unit is a BB1105
Thanks.

The Kokusan Denki BB1105 units are quite old and the switching techology used, the electronics, isn't the best.
Buying used is OK but you may well get one with more use then you're replacing and the electronics, capacitors and all my be getting a bit rough. It's worth considering replacement units that use better electronics.
Have a look at http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/acatalog/CD6501.html , these guys have a good reputation and also may be able to test your duff units.
Another goodie comes from the US see http://www.electrosport.com/street-bikes/ducati/m750-monster/igniter-ducati-600750900-models-91-98.html
Both should be good for up to the last of the carbed 750's and are digital. Both should give a better spark and timing accuracy although you can get away with a few degrees either way (timing and duration) on a standard motor without a real problem.

The BB1105(a) units seem to be the same spec as the BB1132's. There are also some DP badged units which have slightly different timing to accommodate the higher compression ratio on the 900's
