I basically have a whole DD bike except a frame and engine (long story for anyone who doesn’t know it, don’t ask. The bike was a T reg, 1999 (Bradders old black monster). I have listed it all on DSC as I assume there will be more interest there but just in case...

I will be at Brands for the Desmodue racing on 7th and 8th September so I can deliver there for free, or postage at your cost otherwise.

Termignoni high level twin exhausts (think they are stainless steel) with link pipes. These have been down so have marks £350

Lightweight swingarm £130

2 x standard swingarms, 1 black, 1silver £60 each

Lightweight rear wheel £100 - reserved for Jonzi?

Standard front wheel £100

Standard rear wheel £60

2 new tyres £125 - reserved for Jonzi

Couple of 916 style screens, some cracks £25 each - 1 reserved for Max

Couple of R6 style (I think) seat units £25 each - 1 reserved for Jonzi

916 style seat unit £70

Ohlins rear shock, believe it’s the DU440, with remote resevoir (refreshed and serviced by HM racing and ridden about 3 times since) £375

Forks refreshed by HM racing as above with springs and oil set for around a 12-13st rider £225 - reserved for Jonzi, Scrapps 2nd dibbs

Black monster tank, few marks as is to be expected £100

Fireblade master cylinder and brake lever £70

Assorted bits and bobs, all road kit etc as well so message me if there is anything specific you need and I might have it lying around.

When you say 916 screens is only the screens or the nose cone?

screen and nosecones. Both will probably need a little repairing/touchup if you want it to look pretty, and they are not "genuine" fairings.

I can try and send some pics over the weekend if you are interested

The Wheels will fit a SS?

If so I will take the rear please and might as well haev the tyres too please

And perhaps an R6 seat

Tell me more about the forks. I currently have M800 on my bike. I assume they are all pretty much the same on the outside? I.e will they fit in to the 600ss yokes? and take twin brakes?

Lightweight rear reserved, same for tyres and I'll get a photo of the seat units over to you. I have no idea how to make it fit, but I didn't try that hard to be honest :)

I guess the forks would fit but maybe Skids or someone more technical can confirm. I'll check on the disc options... I had single discs but think they have the bolt holes for a second caliper so should work.

Jonzi... did you mean the light rearwheel or the standard one? I assume the lighter one?

I'll be at brands (hopefully) but on my bike.

Do you live far from Brands? I'll be there for the Ducati track day on the 27th. Can come by yours after if not too far.

If that's ok?

I have a number for you that ends in 0735, is that still the right one?

steeevvvooo

I thought the plan was to build the bike Steve? If I hadn't just lost my glasses last week I'd have the rear shock off you. Mine is shot! That and the bike doesn't start.

Being realistic that was never going to happen. I sold the engine too, so need the frame and engine which most would say are critical components! :twak:

The medium term plan is clear out the garage, then buy another ready made bike and start all over again ;) The Mrs will be pleased....

EDIT: buy some cheap glasses and my shock :)

I could be persuaded to sell the forks I have!

I wanted steves as I was going to get mine set up for my weight but he has done the job for me! (we seem to weigh about the same)

I'll try to get some pics on the weekend if you want? Or you can take a look at Ducati Track day if you are goign to that?

Steve, don't suppose you have a front fender and brackets you want rid off too?

I lost mine at the end of the back straight at Snetterton.

Photos below.

Jonzi, you can have the from mud guard for 20 quid and ill chuck the rear wavy brake disk in with the rear wheel if you want? Let me know if these seat units are interesting... One has a seat pad the other doesn't but if you want to respray anyway then the one without is probably easiest for you as you'll have to rip the foam off anyway. Forks are below as well. Few marks on them but most are from the yokes.

Max, screens below. You can see some have had repairs and have gaffer tape on and two of the 3 are shorter round the sides so look better if you do not have full fairings and just want a nose cone.

Termis sold. Most of the good stuff has gone but still have plenty of road spares and assorted bits. Lightweight swingarm must be of interest to someone?

Lightweight so less unsprung weight. Less weight full stop.

Plus... It's shiny! :)

Dirty
04-10-2013, 08:31 PM
Ooh shiny! You didn't mention it was shiny! :)

So how/ why is it light weight? Different design or different material or both? Does it look the same but lighter or does it look different too? (Apart from shiny?)

I presume it's a simple swap over? All my current stuff will just fit to it, hugged, brakes etc?

It's made of alloy so lighter but is he same fittment. Should fit the hooped 600 as a straight swop although I admit I never actually got around to fitting it after buying it! The idea was to put the bike back together with various lightweight blingy bits... But that never happened!

I'll take some pictures on Sunday when I'm free if you want.

That's an Aluminium swingarm as per an M900 (and 851/888), will fit 600 and 750 but you will need the longer pivot and a longer axle plus the correct chain adjusters & hugger etc.

Much nicer than the steel item.

Dirty

Thanks Duke. Hugger I can live without. I guess pivot, axle and chain adjusters could be sourced (fleabay?) Will my rear wheel fit once that's done?

Well the pic shows the pivot shaft fitted? ;)

The adjusters (including the side plates) are different because the aluminium arm is thicker walled which also makes it wider externally, which is why you need a longer axle.

Wheel fitment is the same as the internal dimensions are the same, another bonus is it has paddock stand bobbins as part of the design, they also don't rust and I would say are stiffer than the steel item due to the extra thickness (the steel item on the 600/750 was a cost-cutting measure).

Yes the rim is narrower but the hub is the same size and so either wheel will fit in either swingarm...
