Is there a Kentie meet this weekend folks?

J.P

Yes there should be as usual.
9.30 am Sunday at Mickey's Diner anyone ?
I have guests for lunch, not Hanibal like, they are coming over, so just brekkie for me.

Bex, are we turning you into a closet Kentie ?

Assuming I'm not eating to death by badgers in France on my pushbike, I should be there for brekkie only, as I need to return to my usual post of Dad and Dogsbody at home in the afternoon.

Could a fry-up be good for you? Scientists discover that eating a big breakfast prevents diabetes and high blood pressure.

Absolutely! Although eating three of them simultaneously is probably not a good idea. But hey, I like things in three's...

You can only get to the diner from the bottom of bluebell hill (A229) because its a dual carridgeway

bugger, was hoping it wasn't this weekend as i'm out for a double birthday bash sat night (mine included!) so sadly I doubt I will be in any fit state to go out for a morning bike ride :(
Will have to catch you all at the next one.

I'll hopefully be there but definitely not on a bike... still!

I won't try and follow you on a rideout this time, as that was completely pointless :dizzy:

But Stevooo, what car will you be in ? The Porsche or the Range Rover ? Oh the decisions, decisions...

Ok, so it seems that the Monster will not be going. Looks like some sort of starter issues. Probably need this weekend to investigate. :(

Next time.

Is 'forecast' a euphemism for 'hangover'?

I'm not going to make it. I've taken my bike to bits and don't know how to put it back together.

I should know better.

Mickey's Diner on the A229.

That's the Mickeys on the A249 near Detling rather than the one on the A229 near Maidstone. You went a bit too far into Kent I'm afraid.

Nice ride out to Rye, enjoyed the off/on sunshine, coffees in the rain then ice creams in the sun.

Still not too sure what to make of the marching pirate drummers though!

Oh ffs! I know virtually every road in London but as soon as I go outside I get lost! 229/249! Can't you just name the bloody things. Maths was never my strong point!

Just got back from detouring to see my brother. I/we had a great day with all you guys. The tiny bit of rain didn't dampen the atmosphere. I nearly didn't make it today but glad I did. Thanks all for allowing me to be captain slow. Great to just attend.

It was great seeing you there. :) Especially on that gorgeous bike of yours.

Thanks to GT and Rob for some fine route leading. I'm really glad I made it in the end, albeit on the wrong bike. Top day.

I know. Major DOH moment. Yeah I saw the post a week ago, had a look at the website, checked it out on google maps. Thought looks easy, just down the A2 and do a right towards Maidstone or down the a20 and do a left away from Maidstone on the road with numbers. It's a cafe next to a shell station. How hard can it be!

Sorry Damien didn't realise you were coming or would have arranged to meet so you could have ridden with Rob and I. You'd have made to the right cafe at least, albeit with a repetitive tour of all the roundabouts in the vicinity.

Good to see every one, great turnout this month.

I managed to pick up a spade and a few bags of manure on the way home so the Mrs had a busy afternoon digging the garden up :)

I'm a knowledge boy yes. Come out of my house and turn left there is hardly anywhere worth knowing that I don't know. Turn right and it's like the edge of one of those old maps that says 'Ere be Dragons!'
