S4R Rear Fender

Been looking at other S4R's (that's R's not RS) and notice that some have carbon rear fenders. Duck Bill, Tea Tray, Beer Tray, or "What- Ev-er" you want to call it.

Mine doesn't! Not too worried, but a good look over the weekend (I had all the back end apart if I'm honest) indicates that mine has never been off so could be genuine black Ducati plastic. I know mine is an early bike but should it have a carbon rear fender or a black plastic one?

Mine's a 2008 S4R(T) and has a black plastic one, well did until I chopped the tail. I guess yours should have plastic too, I think, and I could be wrong, that the carbon ones are either aftermarket or for S4RS's
