Hi,
i am looking to do some mods to my 2005 s2r 800 but not to shore whats going to make a big improvement to the power and where to get some bits from?
I like the look of the termignoni exhausts but they don't seem to make then anymore, does any one have some for sale?
Has anyone had a remap or chip fitted?

hello and welcome

2nd hand cans (or full systems) turn up from time time time on here and ebay,
the 2003-2006 s4r with the 996 engine (not the 998 engine) uses the same exhausts so this should help widen your search
if you search on here you will find lots of info re mapping etc

aftermarket companies like arrow, mivv etc all still make pipes for your bike

imho, the 1st thing to do on the s2r800 is to the lose the ugly cat/bladder and fit a decat pipe, even with the standard cans this frees up a bit more of the ducati sound
i would then upgarde the brake callipers and discs as these are the weakest part of the 800
these parts are commonly found 2nd hand as they are used on other many other ducati (and aprillia ktm etc)

any questions please ask

Hi,
Thanks for the info on the exhausts that will come in handy with my search.
I have found some de-cat pipes around but none that are stainless steel, would be nice to get a straight through pipe i think looks nice.
Whats the problem with the calipers and discs?

Thanks

The discs on the 800 are 300mm diameter the upgrade is to 320mm and the 800 calipers IIRC are just 2 piston whereas the upgrade will give you four pistons. Hence better braking, a simple job that I've to Liz's 800.

I have some termi end cans that should fit your bike. Let me know if your interested. You will need to measure the pipe work just to confirm.

Cheapest and quickest way to increase the power and improve the spec of an S2R800 is to sell it and buy an S2R1000 ....

best and cheapest mod is one tooth less on the front think it's 15 and go for a 14 if memory serves. You usually sacrifice top end but mine wouldn't hit the limiter in 6th and would do 135 on the clock. The 14 tooth livens it right up and it hits the limit at 139, boom jobs a good un. Only bad bit is fuel consumption is a bit worse. ez
