Popped out again today and I just aren't having fun on it, but as of today my M900 is NO LONGER for sale.

After 7 months, several emails and 1 viewing I've decided to keep it and do some miles on it this year... (although I am still on the look out for a little old project to play with)

Edited to remove the 'for sale' bit :mand:

Blimey, I wasn't expecting that !

So how did you think it stacked up against your old 750 then ?

Two years newer and without a tail chop and the better half would have shown some interest

It's a much, much better bike, with more power and a lovely dry clutch to boot :mand: the problem is I am getting no enjoyment out of riding it.

Perhaps I've reached a point where I need something else / different to get the enjoyment of motorcycles back in my life (or I've got old all of a sudden) and this isn't doing it for me unfortunately.

But what about the missus? :chuckle:

Oh, and I've got some standard cans for the MoT man

Out of interest, what are you "missing" from the experience?

Don't do it...!!1

Put her up the back of the shed under a nice dry blanket, then buy a really cheap Triumph Sprint.

Ride the Sprint for a couple of months and then get the Duke out again....It will just make you appreciate The Monster for the amazing bike that it is...You have just got used to Ambrosia and need a temporary diet change.

Do something like this - get a big trailie to go green laning and come back to the duke later.

Not too big for green lanes, 250cc is more than enough, KMX200 or a DR250 are great bikes, and if you can find something with an electric foot even better

I used to have an RMX250 to do some green laning. Perhaps not the most sensible thing to use, and it had a power-valve to piston interface that cost more to fix than I paid for the whole bike!! Off road was fun, fixing it wasn't (for the wallet)

And PMs replied

Although, a friend has an early watercooled 125 Minarelli race engine that may be the next project, classic racer on the road perhaps to take my mind off things, just need a cheap basket case tax exempt 50/100/125...

That's unfortunate. :(

I swapped a Blade for the Monster last year for exactly that reason (The getting too old bit).

You can see the bit of powder coating that wore off when it had high levels, and few marks on the can

Marks on the frame, some of it is primer on top of the original colour, can be seen around the welds

TT250R Yamaha is by far the best budget bike for the lanes. A beauty is circa 1.5K

Perhaps he means TZ? Though I've always like the look of the RD400DX

Does it really matter? I'm not entirely sure what it has to do with me trying to sell my bike either...

Shameless bump with a new price.

It's been a lovely sunny weekend and I haven't even wanted to get it out of the garage - I painted the house instead...

A little nudge back to the top...

Mileage unchanged unsurprisingly, just a bit more dusty than last month !

If it's still here in the spring it'll be going on EBAY, which I don't really want to do
