I reckon the "fully functional" description may be a bit misleading M600 engine (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-600-Monster-Engine/221252363872?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%2 6asc%3D16351%26meid%3D9022119577740179967%26pid%3D 100005%26prg%3D7784%26rk%3D3%26sd%3D150916929791%2 6)

Cheap postage for an engine though. I guess he must have changed the description because it doesn't say that now.

I'm no expert but isn't half the engine casing missing?

Slightly more than that, the clutch side cover and the crank cases, so not so much an engine more some bits of a motor.
Also you do get some doubles on the belt cases
