Got an issue with the S4R, whilst the rest of the bike is starting to clean up nicely the water radiator and the oil cooler are looking "grubby" what's the best way to clean the alloy?

Cheers

If you can get hold of it diluted hydroflouric acid. This stuff is dynamite but deadly and I mean fatal if ingested. Failing that any traffic film remover will do the job

I used to get some of this supplier.

Cheers, I'd rather not put acid on the bike, and as I've recently changed the coolant I really don't want to take it off any time soon. I'll give the road film remover a go cheers

I think I remember, from o-level chemistry, that hydrofluoric acid is what they use to etch glass....
I'd certainly feel safer with paraffin and a toothbrush.

Elbow Grease is a great cleaner- I use it just about anything! IN fact, it's the only stuff I found that even shifts veg oil. Trouble is finding it nowadays. Asda stopped doing it, but I've been told some pound shops do it, but I don't frequent such places...

...I send the wife in!
