View Full Version : Center Stand..?

The quest for a new Monster is getting warmer with a few tantalizing bikes coming into range.....also considering a 750 as a possibility as well as a 900 from the 96-2001 ish era....I think you guys call it the "old shape" on here.
One gear less on the 750 seems appealing to me. I've never seen the need for 6 gears on a big torquey bike..?

Any way...One of the mods I want to do when it comes home, is to fit a center stand.

At the begining of the last decade I can remember seeing center stand kits for LOTS of sheckles from Ducati for the Monsters.

I have a hunch that a center stand from an ST model will fit a Monster, and I wondered if anyone has done a conversion like this...Is it possible.?

Cheers

Not done it - did not want the weight but early ST centre stands do fit. I got an abbastand instead!

Though you don't show Abba stand use in your profile picture....

Also use Abba stands on both Monsters, a great bit of kit

There was an official kit made for the Monster 900 and I picked one up a while back on ebay for around £50. Keep your eye out for another one.

I had one and eventually sold it on ebay for £50. Hmm.....

I couldn't get it to fit right on my very early 900, but I guess it was for a newer model? Didn't like the look of it either, kinda made it look like commuter Honda. No thanks...
