I have got rid of the Vacumn pump on my Carbed monster and installed an electric pump from a Yamaha FZ750. My problem is that I am experiencing fuel overflowing from the carbs. Can anyone tell me how I can wire in a resistor to take some of the power away from this pump, or is their some kind of in line pressure switch that can be fitted. I also have solid state pump but again I am experiencing the same issue.

is not just about a pressure switch, I think you should have a return pipe.

I wouldn't recommend trying to slow down the pump.

Unless you can fit a return loop to the tank then maybe fit a regulator, something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sytec-Adjustable-Fuel-Pressure-Regulator-6mm-Carb-/110604005383

Thanks for the quick reply - That pressure regulator looks promising, I am first of all going to try putting a tpiece on the inlet pipe and a t-piece on the outlet and join them together, hopefully then the fuel will recycle in a loop.

No - the problem is because of the pump

That is because you want no more than 3 psi going to your carbs, what pressure is the FZ pump rated at ???

What made you decide to remove the vacuum pump in the first place? All they need is a new diaphragm once every 20 thousand miles or so.
