A friend of mine is on the look out for a good carbed 900.

He's convinced he doesn't want an injection, he has several other (mostly older) bikes and his least reliable is a Guzzi Griso which is now for sale, so he would rather have something he can adjust with a screwdriver rather than a laptop.

If anyone knows of a possible contender drop me a PM or an email.

Cheers all and hope to make it to the weekender to see some of you on the Sunday

Good luck with the search.

Hope to see you there, don't forget the venue has changed this year.

I've just picked up a very tidy 98 m900 in black with only 12000miles on the clock all standard with a fresh mot, been laid up for 10 years so I just can't wait to get the belts changed and serviced an get it out on the road. Just out of Interest how much is Su h a bike worth, I feel I had a bargain

I'm surprised the guzzi is unreliable .
The oldies are pretty bomb proof see its all this modern stuff !!

Somewhere between £2000-£2500 depending on condition

O so I did get a bargain, it's really clean runs well, it's the one in my pick, I feel I may upset a few when I say that I paid only £950 for it, I was goin to sell it on but after riding it I feel that it's gunna have to be a keeper!

Thats interesting.......I run a Griso as my every day bike, and it's been very reliable!

The Griso he has seems to be suffering a repetitive electrical gremlin that makes it run on one cylinder. The dealers can't seem to fix it so now he wants a more modern (than his other bikes) bike but one that doesn't rely on ECU's.

Oh well if anyone knows of anything, let me me know.

Rob, the new venue might yet confuse me as I go to arrow mill for a car club meet periodically. It will be good to see everyone at the new location.

That's a really good BIN price on that 900

Early 90's model monsters are getting a lot harder to find in that condition now

Depending on the dealer, as to the experience with the make.
Personally, I would suggest your friend has a chat with these people. They are one of the oldest dealers in the country and know their Guzzis!.
