Free practice was a hoot - looks like we are in for a great 2013 GP season

My prediction for race is Lorenzo 1st, Marquez 2nd, Rossi 3rd, Crutchlow 4th

I can't begin to imagine how much money the Audi corp is going to chuck into this season to try and get the bikes competative!

Brilliant opener!

Great to see Rossi back on form and also Crutchlow and Marquez mixing it with the aliens.

Exciting season ahead I think.

I know not everyone likes Rossi, but come on RESPECT. He's at one with that Yamaha.

Marquez seems to have the racing spirit of Simoncelli. Bring it on!

So what did we learn.

Dovi did fantastically well in qualifying that bike higher than Rossi ever managed
Pedrosa not as fast as he should be but suffered with rear grip
Marquez if he can learn to manage his tyres he'll be off with George same grip problem as Dani
Cal desperately needs the promised upgrades from Yamaha and would have beaten Rossi easily if he didn't have to override the bike
As for Rossi ... well he didn't have to do a great deal with all the problems everyone else was having, the good news is he has more chance of taking a dump in the Queens handbag than beating Jorge.

It,s going to be interesting in Texas If Rossi can avoid making any mistakes early on.
Well done with your prediction GT, you came close.

i can just imagine you running round the house in your '46' undercrackers, whooping and shouting at the telly

Rossi is a winner :spin:

Well that was a good race..or was it? The new quali session is just so the CRT don't look as slow as they are (40K between the best MotoGP and the worst CRT). Tech 3 aren't getting any upgrade in case Crutchlow has the insane idea of winning a race and Pedrosa, not happy of finishing second all the time decided to finish second in the HRC team as well, you know, can't loose the good ol' habits. As for the Ducati, the best part is that glow-in-the-dark yellow and red was an ugly mistake that won't be repeated any time soon. Down the order but with last year bike you couldn't hope for more than that. As per BBc coverage, f*ck me them two suck up to VR, something to be ashamed of. Next race no audio for me.

Love him or loathe him, Rossi is a battler with an awesome racing brain, and so I'm glad he's back in the mix, and I'm actually glad he cocked up early on because it made it way more interesting. Nothing would have been more boring than watching the 2 Yamaha's following each other around for 20 laps.

The Ducati remains the ugliest bike ever to disgrace a GP grid. Which I find staggering.

Yes not a bad guess but sadly I didn't do that well on the Grand National... 66:1 would have been a nice payout... arse :(

Oh and one for Kato

Kato the new subtle .. Please don't go subtle ..
We like when you tell it like it is.

As for the Queens handbag .. She has to put the corgi crap somewhere whilst on walkies with them .

So, pretty uneventful race, apart for Marquez making history. Poor Pedrosa, when Stoner left he must have though this was the year he would stop coming second but no, Marquez lands a HRC seat and he's, if possible, even more mental than Casey. Dovizioso finished well in a race where he didn't have the track time advantage, but still not good enough.
