I thought it was time to see if we can get a regular Essex/Suffolk meet going!

I'm suggesting we meet at Finchingfield on the 7th of april at 10.30am, by the green opposite the pond. There is a great cafe which serves coffee, tea and bacon butties.

Who's up for it.

Grumpy.

Still too cold for me.

I'm sure I'm stating the obvious here but be a bit careful, I went for a drive through Finchingfield and the surrounding area last week and some of the roads are in a shocking state, especially at the sides, lots of loose crap everywhere and some major potholes that weren't there last year.

It's not just the cold....

I've just been out this morning and my bike is now worth NOTHING as it got completely caked in salt and has dissolved into a fizzing pile of goo with a wheel at each end.

Miffed.

Oh great ....... Not good..
Is it not wise to hit somewhere on the main road then..just for that Sunday.

Some of the roads on the outskirts here are like gravel beds .
Yes lots of salt on road .... My bike is ACF 50 all winter until its gone I'm afraid .
Rather it be gunky then dissolving.
I was in the car on some back roads and it was still shocking.

I regularly drive around the Finchingfield area, and the snow we have recently has brought a reasonable amount of loose crap onto the roads, although most of it has now been move to the side of the road by the traffic.

And in a lot of cases into a rail of loose crap in the middle... all of which is hard to see in the dark... as I found out last night.

Go carefully out there folks.

Yup... seeing it get covered in salt and then coming that close to seeing it slide down the road... HAVING THE BEST FUN EVER! :D

I stayed for a while had a yak ..
Was just about to go and a new diesel Monster pulled up.
Nice bike. So gave him a card.
Then I went to High Beach.
More tea more yakking.
Bumped into another Lovely monster ..
( louigie Dan, Dan if you read this airhead here forgot your user name)
Your bike is cracking :)
Rode around Epping forest and then home all in all travelling here and there today I clocked up near 200 miles on Hector.
Heading home at 6pm sun went in and I got cold.
I had a lovely day today.
Trundling about different new places.

And the people of Essex were very friendly and chatty .
Unlike the unsociable lot by me!!!!
