is it metal or plastic?

i have a scratched tank from an 2006 s2r 1000 for sale

THe one I have is carbon fibre, but split now. The most important part is the pump which is fitted inside the tank. On the underside by the hinge there is only 4 metal pipes for the hoses to fit onto. The fuel cap has a hole in the tank about 3" in diameter.

Can you post some pics of the underside and the fuel cap area??

ah i think its a different beastie as the fuel pump on the plastic tanks is part of a complete sub assembly

your bike looks like the same setup as the post 2000 metal tanked monsters

if you compare the 2006 s2r 800/1000 and s4r parts lists on the ducati website site, you will see what i mean

i do have the pump from the s2r for sale too :-) i reckon it could be made to work but i have not done it personally

Just found a company who can repair the tank for £165>

Sending it off over the weekend.
