I have to rush off in the afternoon to see a man about a shock but

I was gonna come, had a mare of a day! Needed MOT so booked with Rosso Corse for 10:30 should have got me to the meet on time.

Bike wouldn't start! It starts on the button every 2 weeks when I warm it up or give it a quick ride to shake out the cobwebs but today nothing. Go get spare battery. That's dead too. Explore scooter to find out where the battery is, find it, remove it, jump start Duke! I'm on the way.

Fuel light on immediately. Risk it but get a splutter through the tunnel so head to Texaco on Cotton street. Dilemma! Turn off and risk not starting again or fill up whilst running and risk explosions or some scrote nicking it while I pay. Dilemma solved when I stall it at the pump!

Won't start! Call AA. 45 mins not too bad. Battery kaputted! Finally get to RC. RC stick a new battery on charge for me I go home. RC call. Failed MOT - non standard handlebars stretching throttle cable! I didn't even know they were non standard! So new bars, new battery, new grips (another story), labour = 1 bashed up CC and no meet up.

Oh well, always next month!
