Evening chaps, I am thinking of getting these off eBay for my S4 but I was wondering whether anyone has anything good or bad to say about them.

I have seen loads of spring collars going and a couple of the star shaped jobbies but these seem to of appeared recently. Is it ok or even beneficial to having the springs linked by a single 'collar' instead of one for each spring.

Also do you think the springs would be ok? same goes for the pressure plate too really.

Pressure Plate - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Billet-S4R-S4-ST4-ST2-Monster-CLUTCH-PRESSURE-PLATE-/300433811659?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45f34028cb&_uhb=1

Any input would be appreciated, I tend to get nervous when I see 'shipped from HongKong'

Cheers.

Hiya, cheers for replying. Its not so much about the seller, just the quality of parts really.

I don't have any experience in buying 3rd party pressure plates as my S4 still has the standard one fitted.

Plus like I say, I don't know if that type of collar is any good or if I should stick to individual collars.

I have a similar 'star' spring retainer, works fine although may not fit if you use a more enclosed 'tower' type of pressure plate.

The only advantage of them is that in a minor crash/drop the spring posts are less likely to dig in and break off.

I can't for the life of me see how it adds 'stabilty' to the clutch engagement as some sellers claim and it will weigh slightly more than individual collars.

Get a new set of bolts for the springs while your at it, as if they're anything like mine you'll round off the originals trying to get them out ;)

Not sure that adding to the rotating mass is the best idea.

Desmo Dreaming, you could buy my brand new GiaMoto pressure plate for less than the MC Motoparts one ;)

It's listed in this thread (http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=45103).
