Jan 2nd THE 7th 2004 BRASS MONKEY RUN **JAN 2nd 2004** Bikers meet and leave at Nottingham – Derby – Burton – Leicester – Rugby – West Midlands and elsewhere at approx 12 noon for The Victoria Bikers Pub in Coalville, on arrival you are greeted by Binfires, a guided tour around The Charnwood forest takes place around 1.30pm then its back to The Vic for free hot soup and a roll and entertainment paid by the Motorcycle Trade of Central England, meeting places are Rugby @Nightingales Motorcycles, Lawford Road * Leicester @ Shires Motorcycle training, Blackbird Rd * Derby @ Macdonalds car park, Markeaton Park Island * Nottingham @ Japanese Water Gardens A52 Stapleford * West Midlands @ National Motorcycle Museum car park * Burton on Trent @ Town Hall Square, if somebody can take the initiative at each meeting place to get under way approximately 12 noon it would be appreciated

Anyone going weather permitting???

And am i the only one still at bloody work!!!!

That's a real shame Mand, can you not feel a sickie coming on. all this flu and rich food, enough to make anyone poorly on the 2nd!

Julie and Ruth, do you know where the Blackbird road is, if not do you want to meet up at Chateau Nateau first?

i couldn't get onto the vic web page, what is the plan? cause it may be better for us to meet you at the vic at mid day if thats ok?

the info posted above was all there was on the Vic website as of this morning. I think the plan is to meet at the respective points in Leics etc for a midday departure for the Vic. I suppose everyone will get to the Vic about 12-30 to 1-00 ready for the
1-30 ride round Charnwood Forest so we can see you at the Vic around 12-30 if thats good for you.

I need to finish this box of handmade chocolates, just isn't enough room.

How heavily is it snowing there, it only lasted an hour and it has mostly gone here and the roads are damp but ok

its still snowing and all the roof tops are white. the roads are wet and the cars are frozen. its fine snow.

i'm eating lots of chocs and feeling sick

Had a great Christmas ta, ate like a pig and drank like a fish. Not been out on the bike so I am really twitchy at the mo! Not sure about tomorrow night yet.

Happy new year to you too, I will be thinking of you racing around the Charnwood Forest on yer bikes whilst I am padlocked to my desk!!!

Ahh well.....

Got a digital camera now, so I can take plenty of "action" shots for the Midlands!! Ha Ha!

It`ll neeen an improvement in weather conditions before Nessie comes out of the nice dry garage to "race" around Charnwood Forest, glad to here Santa got you a digital camera so you can add your pics to the MMM gallery, hope you`re better than Nat at "flying" it ;) don`t work too hard :D
