Streetfighter 848.... mmmm

Just don't like the new monster in standard spec and I'd spend a fortune getting it right so Streetfighter it is...

If I could afford it i'd get the larger Streetfighter, but good choice. You will still spend a fortune modding it out!

the bigger streetfighter is just no good for normal riding its a track machine... Michael Neeves (MCN Test rider) has had one for a year and he loved it over the bigger one... Its still a big upgrade on the M600 I have... And I will hopefully still be on a yellow one as well... love the pearlesent yellow!! or Matt Black not decided yet...

Looks very tasty Nick!

Had an early morning run up to Lytham on Sunday on your old monster to give my mother's neighbours a Termi alarm call. Even colder than the trip back from your place on Sat, thanks once again for taking time to remove the risers so a short arse like me could get my feet down when you were obviously itching to go on your test ride.

Happy biking on the new Duc

Chris

I saw them at the Rainbow in 81, sadly was living in Yorkshire so missed Wembley 90, thought there'd always be another chance, sadly I was very wrong.

Just upload to http://www.gdao.org/

:-D

Sorry for the hijack Nick

While we're hijacking.....welcome Chris, from another deadhead.
There's more around than you might think. (and they never go away).
Can't say I'm surprised to find a concentration amongst monster owners though.
I only saw them in '89, despite having been on the bus since the early 70s.

I assume you've come across "Further". Its not quite the same, but still has the thread running through.
There's a lot of you-tube footage from Wannee festival last year thats worth looking at if you haven't seen it.

I don't normaly name my bikes, or anything else, but my 750 seems to be growing into "Rose". The new paint will probably have a thorny rose climbing around one of its stripes. In fact, as the bike is bright orange and black just now, I guess she's actually "Tiger Rose" (got new clothes).

And back on thread.....
Nice bike.
Maybe not a monster in name, but still full of the essential spirit.
And black is always good.
Just keep it off all this salt til the spring rains wash it all away.....could be hard when you're gagging to get out on the new bike.

Hi Jeff, not seen Further but saw 'The Dead' at Albany NY in 2009, it's just a shame they don't get to Europe at all - last one was Bob Weir and Ratdog a few years back. Not come across many Deadheads in Lancs so if you are ever passing this way!!!

I managed to get to a couple of the 90 tour (Halloween ending with Werewolf in London was the better of the 2). The gdao site is better than the official one which has got naff since they changed it.

Apologies Nick for the hijack!!

Further hijack apologies, but.
Actually, it was 1990 when I saw them, not '89 as I'd thought.
The night before halloween.
There was lightning as we drove down the M1 that evening....!!! .... It seemed like we knew why.
I actually have cassette tapes of that very show.....with my ticket still tucked inside the case.

I'll pm you if I'm up your way sometime.
