Hello,

I work for Practical Sportsbikes magazine, and I'm hoping to track down a Monster owner to help us with an upcoming feature.
We're after an early M900 in standard (or mostly standard - silencers and the odd small change are fine, but no heavily tweaked or painted bikes for this please) to borrow for a few days for a photoshoot. It doesn't have to be a mint show-winner either - the bike we're looking for is a tidy, presentable and honest representation of a standard bike, to look at and to ride.
Ideally we'd get a pre-1996 bike, but we may have to consider a later model if an early bike proves difficult. If you think you could help us, my email address is chris.newbigging@bauermedia.co.uk. Or you can call me in office hours on 01733 468 396.

Thanks for your attention, here's hoping someone can help! :)

A few of us helped Chris out before with the modified bikes, so if you have a standard 900 its a good opportunity to get it in print.

I did a 500 mile round trip to get to the shoot.

Hi Chris,

I wonder whatever happened to the feature in Used Bike Guide I did a photoshoot/interview for. Did it ever get published? My early M900 vs a 'new at the time' S2R.

Cheers fella - we do try!

We were out on the bike yesterday (yes, really!). Felt absolutely terrible about taking the bikes out - the Speed Triple 900 was a beaut too - but there was a job to be done. Really enjoyed both, despite the weather, and the pair looked great together. Fitting good tyres really helped too. This is for the March issue on sale mid-Feb if anyone's interested in seeing how the Monster compared.

Thanks again,

Chris
