Well got the bike back from Ducati today and been thinking the personal history of it and the sentimental value, and now that it's been sat at the NEC. I want to get an agreed valuation put on it. Especially being as I think one quote this told me it had a market value of about 1200 quid!!

Anybody on here using a classic insurer or a company that will give me that bit of extra peace of mind?

Footman James specialize in classic insurance but your bike still might be too young for them.

Yeah that's what Bikesure said, although next renewal it will be over 20 years old, she is getting there!

Carol Nash used to offer classic policies for bikes 15+ years old - my Morini 350 was insured with them at agreed value

Bikesure, Adrian Flux also do agreed value policies. I have one on the trike for £8000 which is what it would cost me to build another and replace it like for like.

I think you bike might fetch *a little* more than 1200 quid if you offered it up

i am insured with peter james who are amazing, only had my license a year and have my 98 m750 and my 95 900ss on classic with them unlimited mileage and only £160 a year for both. everyone else was giving me ridiculous quotes. cant recommend them enough i got put on to them by my dad who has used them for a long time for his custom harleys and collection of classic bmw's

Thanks Rob, I'd like to think so. But I've had a friend with a mint Golf mk1 cabrio that got written off it was a nightmare trying to get anything like a sensible value for it. Independent valuations etc. I just want the guess work and some of the heartache taken out of it, should the worst happen!

Peter James sounds like a good bet I'll tap them up!

I had a quick look on the online quote. Couldn't do anything concrete but the quote came in at 92.58 with an agreed value that I'm happy with.

ahh happy days the person to person quotes ive with done them over the phone, especially if you mention you are in an owners club, i.e. this one always beats the online ones though.
