Getting a little fed up with all the cack on the M750 motor from the front tire, I'm thinking of fitting one of these, just want to make sure it'll fit the bike, has anyone fitted one?

And yes I'm now waiting for the abuse for wanting a longer front guard...

I've one, on my S4rs it's a easy fit and does save a lot of muck going on the bike

I fit them on all my monsters, some don't come drilled for screws, and they tell you silicone sealant is all you need, don't believe it, use silicone by all means, then drill and fit a couple of 6mm screws as well.

I have one waiting to be fitted to my 750.
Can't see the point of the ineffective superbike style guards that you sometimes see fitted.....all style and no substance.
Actually, I was given an plastic extenda by a forum member, but I later came across a carbon one for only a tenner. Very glad I got that, cos it looks much better than the grey, plastic one. Carbon ones are available on ebay for £20, which is not much more expensive than the plastic ones, and well worth it for the improved looks in my opinion. Visually, the mismatch of the carbon against the plastic guard is actually an advantage as it helps to retain the shorter appearance of the original guard.

Agreed about the need for screws....silicone or even double sided tape are often recommended, but if you think of the wind pressure involved, its a complete non-starter. I'd use at least three screws, perhaps even five. I think 6mm might be a bit on the big side though....I'd go for 5mm max, or more likely 4mm.

Many thanks all ordered, I have a natural aversion to carbon so I'll bought the plastic one and I'll paint it matte black to match the Dark

Cheers

I've fitted one to all my bikes. I use Sikaflex 221 to stick it to my fender...no ugly screws...

Sikeflex 221 has never let me down. It's a bit expensive, but it's what the automotive industry uses to stick body kits to cars, so it's definitely up to the job.

I have one too on the 1100s and been on for 2 years or so fixed with no more nails. No screws or rivets

I used to take the mickey out of people who had fender extenders, especially on Ducs, when I bought my GT1000 it had one attached and I'll eat my words now as it is superb, makes so much difference with keeping crud of the exhaust header and the engine. Mine was also put on with no more nails.

Although the SBK mudguard does cover the fork sliders, which are left unprotected and therefore prone to stonechips on the Monster version - a more expensive fix than cleaning the engine.

Not fitted either to mine yet but I've got both; I like the front protection of the SBK guard but also like the length to the rear of the Monster, but if the Monster guard needs extending anyway then I might consider extending the SBK version...

Fenda Extenda fitted, I used Sika as directed by those on this forum, seems to have stuck really well.

It's a lot bigger than the one fitted to my SV1000 but that's a good thing if you ask me.

Just wondering if a belly pan would offer any additional protection to the bottom of the engine?

Oh and coated all the hard to get parts and electrics in ACF50 so she is now fully winterised, just need to get the owner some winter biker clothing for Christmas...

Thats funny, the same part number for the M600 comes up as £16.90 instead of your £17.95. Bit cheeky ain't it?
Add £4.95 postage and its cheaper to buy the 20quid carbon one off ebay!

Paid less that that from a Google Search. And carbon, no thanks I'd rather crush the bike than put carbon anything on it
