Latest pic of my M600 after adding the Ricambi Weiss bellypan painted by myself to match the finish as closely as possible - with rattle cans from Halfords. And, no, that's not a dent in the tank, it's the reflection of a telegraph pole!

And from the other side...

I also recently replaced the battery with a Motobatt Quadflex after reading various posts on UKMOC.

I,m glad to see that you are looking after the monster, it,s one that I restored from a nail a year or so ago. I see that two of the frame plugs that I made are missing, shame. If ever you replace the horn, don't forget to remove the Italian roundel from the centre, it,s attatched by Velcro, I made that too so you have the only one like that on the planet. I quite like the wavey discs on the front, and the brake and clutch levers, they have been added since I owned it. It,s really strange to see a bike on here that I spent so much time on, I hope you enjoy owning and riding it. PS, I,m sure you won't miss the air box, I binned that like I do on all my monsters, after putting a hacksaw through it in order to retain the battery box.

Blah blah

Hello. I see you have removed the air box for filter, How does it work? I'm in the middle of rebuilding my monster 600 (1998 model) and want to do this conversion. When I asked about this at the ducati garage I use they said refit the air box.?? I Really want to get rid of that plastic. I understand the making of new battery and coil holders, but how easy is it to set up the carbs? If anyone has more info on this I'd love to know.

Dookbob, trying to keep it up together and looking as good as when you restored it. I loved all the little touches like the decals and frame bungs, the clock in the bar clamp, unfortunately the two bungs were missing when I bought it in June 2011 at Isle of Wight Motorcycles. Since then I removed the bar end mirrors and added new bar ends, sourced a couple of ex Falco calipers on Ebay, wavy discs from China, new mirrors, carbon seat cowl, nose fairing, custom Venhill brake lines, new adjustable anodised levers, new super bright led rear light from Germany, Ricambi Weisse bellypan and just replaced the battery with an agm quadflex.

I love riding it, it sounds and looks great, is fast enough for an old fart like me, and handles great. Thanks for your great work.

Nice bike.
if it was dented nobody would bat an eyelid as with monsters the tank dent is an added extra mod that most people do at somepoint :)
