UK MOC helpers:
I need to replace my 620 ie (2004) forks.
Can anyone tell me if M600 (1998) will be a direct replacement?

think the caliper mount spacing is different

Caliper mount spacing is 65mm as opposed to 45mm.
I fitted 620 forks to Louise's M600 and had to make a 1mm shim for each fork leg through the bottom yoke. So the early fork legs must be larger in that area.
YES they will fit
NO they are not a direct swap, caliper spacing is different as is the spindal size, the change was around 2000 /2001

Thanks for the help so far.
Looks like I am getting nearer to fixing the forks on the M620ie.
I would like to go for a direct replacement and have found some forks from a M750 Dark 2001.
Will they fit?

You should have more luck getting the later spec forks to fit
But why replace rather than repair the existing 620 legs... were they bent in a crash?

At the moment my M620 has a small crack at the base that is weeping oil, previous owner fault.
As I do not have the time or tools to inspect the stanchion for damage and replace the seals /tube.
So I am look at site that have direct replacements. I am sure I can fit them, it's the taking apart stuff that is a bit time consuming.

Are the later year (2000 /2001) forks for all Monsters (M750 , M900) direct replacemnts?

My friends 620 did exactly the same thing just out of warranty at around the 15k-20k mileage mark - Ducati Lincoln managed to find her a new leg and fit it for approx £300

i have a set of fully adjustable Showas forks from an 2001 S4 that will be a straight swap
they have a few marks on them from where i fitted some mounts for the head light when i fitted clip ons but you have to look close up to see them
otherwise working fine
pm me if your interested
