Hi , On a recent run out i noticed the clutch slipping on my 99 17k monster. Granted it had had some use (260 mile of bends ,hills and keeping up with a pair of 1100s) . Obviousaly my and eveyone elses thought is clutch plates . The only thing is the lever felt as if it was'nt doing anything for the first half of it's movment and second felt spongey . Could the fact the clutch fluid has never been changed coupled with the amount of use cause the clutch to slip ? Or could it be the slave cylinder ? If neither of these sound likely has anyone got a clutch that needs a new home ?
Thanks

clutch fluid transfusion first, it should have been done about 6 times by now on a '99 bike.

Have you recently changed the engine oil?

Some fully synth oils may cause wet clutches to slip.
