Hi,
I have read on here and other forums that the rear sprock on my S2R800 has to be a Ducati one because of the cush drive thingys integrated blah blah...
Can anyone tell me if these kits are any good?

As the price I've had quoted for a rear sprocket is £114 ON ITS OWN, this kit seems like a bargain.
Am I missing something?

That doesnt look right at all, the front sprocket in the pic looks quite wrong, also you want a 14 tooth front sprocket and a 42 rear, it makes the bike much better.

Hi chris, I think the photo is just a generic, they state it's a representative picture of a chain kit and the eagle eyed will notice that the chain in the picture is a 428 when the monsters use either 520 or 525.
However, the description is for a S2R800 so I guess they have to send a sprocket that fits, or I'll have me money back!
I've just changed to a 14T front and now the chain won't adjust far enough (It must have been right on the limit), So I need a new chain, and I won't put a new chain on an old sprocket, which is why I need a new rear!!
I'm just wondering if anyone has got one of these kits as it seems a bit too good to be true with the DID chain and all...

Don't be put off by that price, I have one of these DID chains on my bike. Its absolutely fine and a genuine piece.

Just because its not a rip off doesn't mean its not real.

I bought from this seller, no worries. I bought a chain tool from another seller somewhere for around 30 quid.

Done and dusted, unfortunately they sent me a 525 kit which was wrong, and they didn't have a 520 kit but they were great about it, couldnt get one for a couple of weeks so they refunded everything inc. the postage and I got a 520 kit from somewhere else. DID vx2 chains look the biz too. :-)

What rear sprocket did you get? And where from?

Cheers

I got one of these:

I've still got the new 15T front if anyones interested, as I'm now 14T. The rear sprocket looks cool in gold with the gold face plates of the chain. Good quality and not too steep. I'm happy. :mand:
