Will these Carbon Sil-motor cans from a 2001 750 fit on a 2006 m695?
The new owner has stripped them off and I want to buy if they'll fit my 695. I can't find anything on the net that indicates different fittings...

If anyone can help with a response ASAP, I'd be really grateful!

I've looked on eBay and a lot of the m600 exhausts also appear to fit m695 and 750s...

You can make anything fit anything else, within reason of course...
As long as
the pipe diameters are the same
OR
you can get an off the shelf connecting pipe to bridge
And
The mountings positions match or are close
OR
you can fabricate some to fit
Then you have a fit

The fuelling would need checking out afterwards, if they aren't too radical then you'd be close to start with but a proper check is always good

I was hoping for something relatively easy to fit and also to swop out back to stock at MOT time. Given that a lot of websites seem to be selling the same cans for 600/620/695/750, it's hopeful that there will be minimum of fiddling/converting to get them to fit a m695.

Does anyone know if the pipe diameters are the same and the mountings are the same?

IF no one's given you the diameter by sometime in the morning I'll go measure one before I nail off for work.
The standard fit on the 750's is a push in with no clamps

Thanks Nick - really appreciate it. I can measure my m695 and then whether its an easy fit or a big task

Oops... got up a bit late and didn't get time before hacking off to work so I'll quick measure tomorrow morning. Got to clean and lube the chain so I'll be dropping one of the cans off.

42mm outside diameter

I was just going to lube the chain and take off the pipe...

then I took of the other pipe...

then dropped out the wheel...

then strpped the brake...

then a few fastners looked a bit tatty...

So much for 5 mins :)
