Handle Bar Width M600

Hi Could someone please tell me the overall width of the handle bars on a M600 1998, as mine came with some home made efforts. I now have a set of after market bars but they seem very wide. I would have to alter the route of the throttle cables and choke cable to be able to fit them. They are going to be fitted with stock risers.

I've got a M600 94, the bar width is 740mm (not including any bar ends)
