I've painted/coated the headers on the s4 3 times now twice with vht paint and once I got them ceramic coated now maybe its the roads around home there generally wet and covered in cow sh1te and slurry most of the time but the coatings all have discoloured or worn off but I found after a bit of research vvht paint 700-1000 degs c temp range and to simulate the curing process I used a blow torch to heat the pipes from the inside out hope it works here's a couple of pics.

Redditch Shotblasting guarantee their ceramic powder coat, even on big single cylinder thumper engines to stay on. I've yet to try and see if it works, but they do it for the Pro Drive Rally cars team and they must run them a little hot!
