Having tried unsucessfully to sell the Tuono twice on ebay I've now come to a grinding halt as to what or where to try next. I do appreciate that the time of year and recent down turn in the weather is not going to help me get top dollar but I struggled to generate anything over £2,000 which for a 9 year old bike with 12k miles on her in good condition is just a little too low.

Next will be Biketrader, Pistonheads or MCN - can anyone on here suggest which they've found in the past to be the best?

Ideally it would be easier if I could trade with an L200 owner as I'm selling it to free up some money to buy myself a 4x4 to help with my rennovation, fun and to earn some cash with doing odd jobs for folk.

Ben - at a loss :banghead:

I can't vouch for them but I always try Autotrader when looking for vehicles.

Yes, I was curious to see what is most popular - Biketrader or MCN.

The 3 sites I've looked on in the past are eBay, Biketrader and MCN. Can't think of anywhere else to be honest. Even if there are...they can't be as good.

gumtree seems to be growing in popularity, quite a lot of swap deals too. although I've only really been browsing it and not actually bought anything from it yet. Free as well so nothing to lose really

I've posted an ad on Gumtree twice now and so far only had people asking for extra pictures and when I ask for an email address to send them to get nothing back, and people offering to swap things that you never asked for. For example someone wanted to swap with me yesterday for a bloody Thundercat 600!

I live on a main road and could easily stick the bike out the front during the daytime on sat/sun but am paranoid about then being burgled...

Have you tried a corresponding owners club?

http://www.clubaprilia.net/

UKMOC bike seem to sell well enough here - I would hope something similar would happen over at the Aprilia club?

Cool - feel a bit of a fraud signing up to a site just to sell a bike but will give it a go thanks :)

Just tried to join club aprilia but you have to pay to join, and they are currently not accepting any new members.

Ah bugger... perhaps there is something else similar?

Good luck...

You could try the free paper "motorcycle monthly", distributed through various bike related retailers.
Ads can be placed via their website.
Bit of a slim chance of selling it through there perhaps, but the ads are free.

I'm also wondering if the car wash guys over the road would keep an eye on it for you, if you put it out on the road...?
You might even get one of their customers interested while they're having their tin box washed.

ps....re that frame....its clearly damaged so I won't bother with the V5. If you could just confirm its year of manufacture/vin no. etc, that'll be fine.
Thanks again, and nice to meet you.

I'll try and list a few Aprilia forums I'm also on, just make an standard introductory post in the new members area saying hello and maybe just apologising that your 2nd post will be to sell your very clean bike but that needs, must (copy and paste to others ).
Once peeps see how good your bike is and the economic climate as you say, I dont see why anyone wouldnt understand.....

The biggest - but USA based:

Good luck - I've been is the same quandary myself with my Aprilia Falco, now I cant stand the idea of giving it away, so he's probably a keeper!
