Hi all,

To get the bike back on the road the first thing I really need to do is sort out the steering lock. It's been broken and currently looks something like this

So...it still works but those fragments are catching so the key doesn't quite click into the on position - it can be pushed there and stays for a while but I'm not about to ride it like that :chuckle:

For the moment I'm not bothered about replacing it if I can get it suitably working again - I think it's just the largest fragment that needs to go, it moves around nicely but is slightly too long to pull out. So that probably means removing those studs holding the (slightly bent) plate in place - can anyone tell me how it's done? :dunce:

Aren't there some hex bolts hidden away underneath it somewhere?

By design no hex, get a pair of channel locks or mole grips on them

Thanks, I'd been wondering about that but it didn't seem to be the most sensible way of assembling things. But then it is a Ducati, so mole grips it is :D
