Having already had more than enough excitement for one year on the IofM last month, I will be donning slippers, igniting pipe and minding the fort while the annual Belgian invasion takes place....

Werthers Original anyone??

Wouldn't mind one actually as I got some for my birthday and some slippers. I think you should come along one year.

Gordon - how about we make this the not going to Belgium because we are going to Milan instead thread ...

Sounds more fun than the "not going to Belgium because I need to spend the weekend studying for my applied financial planning exam" thread!

Don't worry Alan.. we'll make sure we pass on your good wishes.

Due to the fridge being as deaf as a post... I may have to visit it numerous times before your message gets through :mand:

I'm beginning to get the distinct impression everyone else is off having a good time while I'm busy working. Most of my office seem to have gone to Monaco and half of UKMOC seems to be off 'somewhere' I'm not. Humph.

Got serious eye disease had emergency treatment Friday then today then back in Monday and Tuesday .
Woke up to a blurry world and in pain.

Pretty shocked :(
Caught me luckily but now means being treated and watched.
Pissed off to back teeth .. No riding my bike until I can see properly.
Can't go to work today ..
Enough steroids injected and to gulp down I will look like Fatima whitbread by end of week :(

I'll assume the van was nice and warm then, good luck to the poor souls riding home today.

buzzbomb
24-09-2012, 01:14 PM
Yes the van was nice and dry as its in my garage thank you.

I was in the car as with my health problems I can't ride that kind of distance and as Babs came along for the week it was a no brainer.

I just feel very sorry for those on bikes in this sh*te weather and didn't see any reason for you're comments on starting another thread,I honestly thought better of you.

It was in fact posted in sympathy with them Geoff which you'll failed completely to get, hence I tried to enlighten you with the comment made in my second post.
Still the weather here has brightened up so with luck the southern contingent have had a better end to their journey back which sounded poor through Kent readings the Kenties post.

Got home at 9.30pm myself. We had a 10 minute monsoon near Dunkirk and a short shower as we rode into the ferry terminal. (Minutes later, it was another monsoon as we watched from cover!) delayed ferries with tugs needed to push them into dock and out, and more puke on the ferry than Sid Vicious could manage in 1977, but great fun all the same.
