View Full Version : Front Suspension - Really hard.....

Following on from my previous post I very recently had my forks serviced by Ducati UAE.

Having picked up the bike the speedo decided to stop working, so I took the bike back. On the way back the fork seal decided to "let go" and consequently pissed oil all over the front tyre!!! Thankfully I was on a straight and managed to get the bike back to the store okay.....

Anyway after venting severe spleen they've managed to replace the seals etc. However the suspension feels stupidly hard. Is this normal? It compresses and sort of bounces back up but it feels really, really rigid. It's as if there's a lot of pressure inside them and you can't squeeze it. If that makes sense? Kind of makes you feel the headstock is taking a lot of the "knock."

Question is.... is this normal and I'm just not use to it or have they fecked up again????

Cheers!

Sounds like too much fork oil in there. They need to check the air gap.

Thanks Gilps. With these guys it could well be a possibility! :banghead:

Yep I would agree with Gilps

Sounds like it either been overfilled or they used the wrong grade of oil

Cheers for the endorsement, Gary. Time to call them again!
