Hi all.
What a year? What with the lovely summer we have had & me being busy with other stuff, I just haven't had a chance to join in much or meet up with you all.

Anyway, I have a note in my diary for a breakfast meet next Sun 9th Sept at the Hilltop cafe.
Is this meet still on? It would be really nice to meet up with everyone again.

Cheers
Desmo & Roz.

Hi Phil,
It should still be on as it doesn't clash with anything else. Let's hope the weather is good.

I misread that and thought you were refering to some kind of covert hillclimb rideout that only the quicker rider should consider attending.
I feel a bit deflated now.

Sounds like a plan. I'll need to wash the bike, it's filthy. Then you can all marvel at how two weeks of Spanish sun can change cheap black anodising a lovely bronze colour :)

Wilts / Hants Events for 2012
We have decided between us to have a regular time for the Brekkie meetings, that now being the 3rd Sunday of each month. This will allow for better planning ahead for everyone.

Is there going to be a brekkie meet on the 3rd Sunday too, can't make the one this weekend!

If you read on from where your quote was taken from, you would have seen it said 'TBA' on the 3rd Sunday in September. Every month so far has been the 3rd Sunday but it clashes with MOB in September. Some of us will be having brekkie there if you want to join us.

MOB was changed from the 3rd week in September this year and is now on 22nd/23rd Sept? There are 5 Sundays in September this year!

Some would argue that there are Seven Stages...

The more breakfasts the merrier and the forecast, dare I say, looks good. So if people want to do both and make hay then why not?
That aside I can't do this weekend but can do the originally planned 16th, how about going to the Army Flying Museum for a change?

uksurfer

yes, i think the army air place is worth a try too, only up the road and we can watch the planes go by

The rumours of my demise are premature - I'm still around and if there is a fry up available at Hilltop this weekend then I could be persuaded...

I will be there at about 10.30 - weather looks good and any excuse not to do decorating which is what I should be doing,,,,,,

My bike should be clean by the end of tomorrow  I'll make it over to Hilltop on Sunday morning. Looks like it should be a nice day. Unfortunately I'm unlikely to be able to do the Sunday after.

This Sunday is my only chance, as next week I'm working. I'll try my best to recover from the night before syndrome and be there for 10.30 as well! :D

Good to meet up for a brief time, rumbled in for a brew and burbled out again for a quick ride around the local area.

Nearly got taken out by a van that thought it would be good to try and pull across in front of me.

Char,
Good job I cleaned my bike ready for it's close up ;) Pity the fugly exhaust found it's way into the picture. I really need to do something about that.

Peter have a look at the Spark system on the Desmoworld.de web-site, Chris had his bike at WDW and personally I think its the nicest and neatest on the market.

Just to be different I'm thinking about a low stubby exhaust. I want to be able to get rid of the pillion peg hangers and leave the rear of the bike open and uncluttered. The high level Spark does that very nicely, but I had high level cans on my M1100 so I want something different. Competition Werkes are the only off the shelf exhaust I've seen that will do this because most still use the pillion peg hangers to attach the can to. However I could get any stubby can I like the look of and get a short link pipe custom made to make it fit. That is actually probably the cheapest solution other than just taking the Diavel alike can off and leaving it like that.

Feel your pain - keep wanting to stick an umberella in mine

But not seen anything that shouts 'this is it'

Good to see everyone today. Not sure if we are around next weekend as we are still trying to get away to do the tour down to Austria we had to cancel in July.

I know what you mean. Best I've seen in pictures was a custom job using a Hotbodies MGP Growler can with a suitably angled and lengthed short link pipe welded onto it. I wonder whether the Akrapovic stubby megaphone can for an Yamaha R6 would fit. Even if it fitted I would need a custom made mounting bracket.
