View Full Version : Loose headers

As my Ex-Box was originally from S2R 1000 I never managed to fully eliminate the gaps on headers. Holts paste is only effective for 2-3 days as the headers are suspended on springs so constant vibrations and movement.
Was thinking about some flexible high temp resistant tape.
Any recommendations?
Cheers

Did you try same seals as used on 749? They go in to bigger diameter pipe and the smaller one digs in to them? It will only work of you have double lip on the bigger pipe.

Tend to use clear silicone sealent on this kind of thing, works every time as silicone has a huge heat range.

Thanks a lot folks

Will try some normal silicone.
I used high temp resistant for gaskets, but this stuff didn't seem to work… it was a bit too runny.

Lukas it's a bit messy already (clamps etc.), that's why I'm looking for less "invasive" solution.

Those seals are inside the pipe not outside to not visible.
