Rear tyre pressure valve

Does anybody else sometimes have trouble getting good access to the rear tyre pressure valve on their 696? I sometimes find the rear brake disc in the way.

Is there a science to this or am I just being daft?

Take it off once you've checked the pressure/topped up, as it will unbalance the wheel spinning at 70mph.
