Just bought some billet rear sets for my S4 but still have a need for pillion foot pegs. Was looking at the option of getting some off an S4R and welding on brackets to suit so I can fit them when required and remove them when not.

Plenty of pegs for sale on ebay But as I don't have an S4R to hand i don't really know What the mounts look like and how ugly they may be with the footpegs removed.

Could someone please oblige with a couple of pics so i can see the mounting lugs?

Thanks muchly in advance.

I did some on my s4 to s4r conversion. They are really easy to fabricate if you have a decent vice or some bending equipment or just a welder. They are basically flate plate around 1.5 - 2mm thick and they have a slight kink in them. This technically is not necessary but the castings have it. You can get away with flat if you just add some stainless washers or make a spacer to tack on. 2 holes drilled in them and tack 2 m8 nuts on to the back and then just weld them on your frame in correct place. I did this because I was powdercoating the frame. You may still get away with it by painting the area neatly but I also ground the old lower ones away.

Please note that left and right are different in shape as one goes around the exhaust. It may look odd if your not using single side exhausts but should be ok . Alternative is look for say gsxr 1000 or something similar

Thanks for that!

Just realised they won't work as i have twin high level
Exhausts. Unless i got 2 right hand ones and made one fit on the left.

They still work with high levels, the pic shows the bracket.

But the left peg carrier isn't curved to go around the can? Or can you get curved ones for the twin exhausts?

I'm now tempted to hide a bracket under the carbon side pods and have some foot peg carriers made.

My mrs will go mad when she see's her pegs aren't on the bike any more!
