Hello All,
I fear I know the answer to this but am just searching for a glimmer of hope......
I was involved in a hit and run that meant I had to claim on my insurance. My S4Rs was deemed a write off due to the costs of returning it to it's previous (immaculate)condition but I opted to take the bike back with a view to repairing the non cosmetic stuff. A scratched fork, scuffed front wheel and chipped tank beefed the repair quote up but can be lived with. Thats a considerable amount of money saved there?
Now the tricky part.....
The clocks are totalled and I have no red key:hissy:
Am I f**ked or is there another option beyond replacing the dash, ECU and ignition?
I desperately want to keep the bike but the idea was that I would keep the repair costs down to a minimum and with the money received (which was very fair) forget any ideas of ever parting with her.
I'll be gutted if I have to sell the bike on if the repairs can't be justified.
Any advice welcomed.
