Is it a good idea to use an engine flushing fluid when changing the oil? It is common practise with car engines, the only potential issue I can see with a bike engine is that the gearbox also runs in the engine oil. Would this cause any problems? Anyone else used engine flush?

Personally, I wouldn't bother. (though its something I've never done, so can't really speak from experience).
If the oil changes are frequent, there's probably little to gain, and anyway I'd be concerned that the residue of the flushing agent would contaminate the new oil.
You'd probably be better off spending the cash on more frequent oil changes.

I agree, get the oil nice an hot and let it drain for a long time, then in with the fresh.
