Ferraris, Balloons and Motorbike Day.

Groombridge Place, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. TN3 0QG.

We have been invited to attend this wonderful event held annually at the magnificent Groombridge Place. www.groombridge.co.uk

Free entry for bikes, lunch is provided and a ‘beauty contest’ for best bike of show. Arrival time is late morning, leave mid/late afternoon. The event goes on all day and in to the evening and we are welcome to stay as long as we wish.(all bikes, old and new are welcome)

There are numerous exhibits and live entertainment provided throughout the day. Early evening there is a mass balloon display.
This is a great event, don't miss it.

Thanks for your replies.

All bikes are welcome, particularly Italian ones.....This year Triumph and Honda will make a small appearance and some Italian classic scooters. Along with the Ferraris there will be an MG car club presence..

Our parking area opens at 1pm. The bike beauty contest will be announced at 4.30. then there will be the customary cacophony of noise from the Ducati contingent when we all rev our engines in unison...

Not finalised yet, but the Kent/south chaps meet at the Oakdene and make our way to the event...are we doing the same this year?

Lets hope for dry weather!!

Best place to meet for Kenties would be the Oakdene but car park still crap and we had a long wait last Sunday for a bacon butty ! best to park in layby opposite.

Don't forget the sun cream and sun glasses (have polished tank ready) and some pennies for ice cream.

I am riding direct to Groombridge and plan to arrive around midday so i can sit and soak up the sun that little bit longer.

Today I ventured out ,fried and have been hiding .
My happy temp scale is -10 to 20c
Any hotter I melt !

I was abroad with family at 13 I had sun cream on but was swimming and by the time I got out by skin was a mass of big blisters.

But stick me in snow abroad and I'm happy .
I'm hiding indoors so I do not burn.

The staff will guide you to the field.....If you arrive early, I do not know if they will let you in to the field...I don't see why they wouldn't...

Root canal filling that failed .

Sounds like they did not remove all your nerves and pulp especially if there is a pain that pain killlers don't touch :(
I feel your pain!.
Hope they sort you out.
If you walk out and there is still pain after they "Fix it" go back in and get them to reget shot of the pulp again they only need to leave a teeny bit and your be back again two days later :(

Wow what a lovely day (if a little warm) down in darkest Kent. Great to put faces to a couple of forum names, along with a few of the regulars and all whilst looking at some very nice, exotic Italian machinery. There was also a fascinating home built special based on a 900 twin valve engine (pics to follow tomorrow). Many thanks to Jimbo and all who helped organise things.

Oh and well done Gary, another one for the mantlepiece!

And finally huge congratulations to Scrapps and Heather who got engaged at Groombridge today in front of several sweaty Kenties shoving bugers down their gobs. Very romantic (we're all available for weddings too Scrapps). Seriously though, many congratulations from all of us.

Great day out and nice to see everyone. I was gobsmacked to get a text from Alan to say trike won a trophy today. Would have liked to stop at Groombridge longer but heat got better of me in the end. Crashed out for 2 hours on sofa after I got home. Sorry about little detour while leading group ride in on the way to show, can't blame the TomTom it was just me being a knob :o

Many congrats to Rick and Heather. That was a really nice surprise today. Felt quite the toff strutting around the bikes with a glass of champers in my hand.

Alan and Shuffy are already shopping for bridesmaids dresses ;)

Nothing really that drastic. Just wasn't watching TomTom properly and missed a turning. I did spot it with about 50 yards to spare, and would have just anchored up hard if I was on my own, but with a dozen Ducati's in tow it would have caused a huge and very expensive pile up.
