Speedo Crack Glass/Plastic

I have a crack running from the bottom to the top nearly on my speedo facia, basically the glass/plasctic bit.

I am told it is from the sunlight? not sure if i believe this or not...

Just wanting to know if these are easily replaced of do you have to replace the whole speedo?

any advice would be much appreciated!

The lens cannot be replaced nor is it sold separately, your best bet is to keep a look out for a unit on eBay.

They all do it - my 996 did it on the rev counter and I picked one up from ebay and swapped it over.

did you have to replace the whole unit or did you manage to just change the glass?

Take the guts out of the one you have and fit into replacement case

if you strip the clocks down you should end up with the speedo and the rev counter as seperate units, i replaced my s4 rev counter with one from a ss or st or similar
