I feel my 1100s is too firm on regular runs. Has anyone got the standard settings or even better a setting that they are happy with after a bit of fiddling that I can try.

Thanks

I rode mine for 2 years stock. I got it tweaked I think Tony from Ducati Wolverhampton at the monster track day last year. He just gave it a few clicks less and it rides much nicer. I felt it was definately too firm after riding an EVO which was great.

Best way is to get your static sag sorted

M1100S Ohlins Standard Settings (my settings in brackets):

Front:

Compression (bottom of fork): Turn all the way in (clockwise) then back out 8 clicks (11)
Rebound (top of fork): Turn all the way in (clockwise) then back out 12 clicks (12)
Spring Preload (top of fork): Turn all the way out (anti-clockwise) then back in 3 turns (2.5)

Rear:
Rebound: Turn all the way in (clockwise) then back out 15 clicks (13)
Compression: There is no adjustment ;-(
Preload: 19mm (19mm)

I am 10.5st and these settings suit my riding style. They are not "comfort" settings!

Hope this helps.

I need to sort my static sag as well

Note to self.... need to eat less chips, hob nobs, pies, mars bars, chinese take away etc..

Was going to add 'drink less beer' but with the Belgium 2012 weekend looming that's never going to happen :drunk:
