Now, I know I going to look like a spoilsport here. I used to own a share in a Chipmunk down at Wellsbourne. I love aeroplanes. I really do. In about 2004 I took the wife and kids down one day to see the Vulcan high speed run. It was all very exciting. It went up the runway, lifted its nose and.........my wife looked and me in disgust and asked me if that was it. I knew what to expect before I went but I also just found it an anti-climax. If you've done it before and enjoy it then I'm pleased for you and I must just be missing the point. If you've not done it before I hope I have set your expectations.

I used to like it flying :)
It must be really strange to just see a plane taxi?
But as an ex wife of a jet fighter mechanic who was on base and used to watch sortes :)

It would be fantastic to see these old girls up in the air again.
I used to really get excited about the Biggin Hill airshow as a child as could sit in my back garden and watch .

Also I used to be really really excited by the Goodyear airship :)
Especially at night.
Sadly don't see them anymore.
It was the Vulcan , Lancaster and airship that I'd squeal at!

I think that's the anti climax for me. Having spent a lot of time in the air, I just think that's where aircraft belong. To taxi is to just get to the runway.....
