Ok I finally got to upload the photos I took. Not a huge amount but some very intrigueing friendships blossomed in the dancing and some very strange poses. They are also not all brilliant as I am afraid a new camera had me confused with settings. Other than that fine.

Brilliant - thanks for posting those - truly captured the spirit of the event, complete with Zippy and chickens!

From Albie's photos, it appears that Rally's bike ought to have won the "bike most cherished by chickens" golden egg trophy, despite not bribing the feathered judges with sufficient chicken food in comparison with the owner of a certain spangly black bike.

Still can't believe no-one actually knocked themselves out on the pillars in the dining room - when I mentioned to a colleague that we'd had the ceilidh band and that it got a bit raucous, he said his sister once managed to break someone's nose at a school dance! Sounds like we were quite restrained and civilised in comparison.
