it's Jubilee weekend so it may be busy down by the river, on the plus side any 'boat geeks' out there could get a chance to take some photos of bits of flotilla passing/assembling in preparation for Sunday.

Although pencilled in, sadly it's looking unlikely...

I had hoped that we would be able to make it on Saturday as I received notification about the impending arrival of … a welcome pack….. I wanted to say thank you (in person) to Rob for all the work thus far... and… ask what if anything I needed to do next? Unfortunately someone has let me down (understatement) and I now have to work, so I can't make it. Hopefully I will get to the next one. If I do need to do anything (about the welcome pack) please let me know.

Ha, you're an optimist Brendan... I'll let everyone know as soon as I see a welcome kit

I may struggle to make this myself after a muppet pedestrian stepped out in front of me last night, I managed to avoid hitting her but have injured my arm picking the bike up. (and yes I had right of way, she just didn't look or care and had left the scene by the time I picked myself and bike up out of the moving traffic)

man, you don't have much luck travelling to work on your bike do you. Hope you're not in too much pain.

19 months since someone drove into the back of me, probably about average for motorcyclist in London. Luckily I was moving pretty slowly at the time , so almost 0mph after a big handful of brake.

That's a shame - hope you feel better soon.

I've not been down there in a while so I'll be there for a coffee at 12-ish, even if no-one else will be!

Really sorry to hear your news, I wish you a speedy recovery. With regards to the “welcome pack saga”, I imagined there was going to be a few more episodes, but I did want to acknowledge efforts to date.

Thats two offs at 0mph in recent times.
Your predestrian was lucky is wasn't St AKA who by all accounts would have simply run over her.

Picking up a bike lying on its side is best done with the back toward the bike, squat grip then stand. Even small girls can raise a HD in this manner.

Oops.. Bit of a cock up on the catering front :o

On the plus side a wallet I thought I'd lost at a London meet last October turned up in J.P's jacket a few days ago
