I've seen a few recently and can't decide if it'll be a good look on my bike? I've white wheels already and this might be a nice finishing touch, or a really naff....'He's trying too hard' kind of thing.

I've seen this on Ebay too,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Tyre-Tire-Marking-Paint-Pen-White-FREE-P-P-/370521954687?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre _Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item5644d4597f

Would be happy to sit and paint the lettering on to and I'm kinda like doing stuff like that:dizzy:

Opinions please........

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion, it gives me something to laugh at!

I do agree, I think its day has been.

Ultimately pointless...and worse, it announces to the world that you've bothered to take the time to do it.
But.... if you like the way it looks, who gives a **** what others may think ?!!!
How about red, white and green ?

I could have probably guessed these responses, thanks, just wanted to make sure it's not still 1980 and things have moved on on the style front!

??? er nobody told me it was no longer the 80's??? ..

Each to their own. we all like different things :)
Not a fan myself but I am also not a fan of wheel tape .. (tries to run and hide) .
Having said that I would be quite happy painting the letters for someone else.

I used to like it until I read something (in MCN I think) about how it was a big 'no no'. Whilst I keep an open mind about what I read, this one stayed with me for some reason....

Try doing it in gold, it,s not so much in your face as white

You could always go for gloss black to match the stealth effect of S/F Ducati tank logo

I promise I'll try to notice when I next see it.. although if it's at MOB I may be distracted :booze:

I like it, i've done mine. got BF Goodrich All terrains on the van and they're white lettered from the factory.

think it depends on the bike, mine is a stock m600 in red - with the gold frames, forks and silver engine/fork bottoms I reckon white lettering on mine would look dodgy, but on a black monster, it might look a lot better...

White wall tyres are for old yank cars! and as for painting the lettering, it's not my cup of tea!

Do you just use tippex or is there special stuff?
You could just do it and if it looks naff you can always paint it black again ....

Personally I wouldn't just because it would show up something else that I don't clean on the bike :)
