Hampsters, Wilties, Kenties and anyone else who fancies it ... (e.g. for last minute WDW planning)

I know we haven't had much barbecue weather so far this year, fingers crossed that June turns nicer. The weather gods have smiled on us the last 2 years :)

Sunday 10 June, eat around 1pm, my place in Farnborough. (PM me for address details if you don't have it).

Please let me know if you plan to attend so we know how much food and drink will be needed.

We plan to go ahead barring hurricanes and lightning - we can rig a tarpaulin over the patio to provide some shelter if it rains.

Bring swimsuit and towel if you want to wallow in the hot tub.

If anyone coming from further afield wants to crash out overnight Sunday night , we have floorspace, spare bed, airbed (but bear in mind we'll both be working on the Monday so we'll have to throw you out about 8.30 am!)

I might be persuaded to make more white chocolate icecream ...

Yes please, can I bring a little person with me?
Char would like to come to
If rally comes we could use the opportunity to pass bags into the WDW van?

Char's not that little! :)

But if you mean your daughter, that should be fine - I'm guessing you won't be coming on the Monster this time.

Londoners welcome? If not, as I'm on Surrey borders (and we used to be part of Surrey until a few decades ago), maybe I could pass for a Surreyite?

Mrs C,
I would like to come too. I have requested the Mon off work, so I have the option of staying over. But will confirm closer to the time once the time is granted.

If WDW preparation is on schedule I could be tempted with this. Great idea MrsC. :woot:

May need to be in the car though if the 'Fighter's mid being prep'd for touring...

If anyone's still at the planning stage though for WDW - there may be some panic... :on:

I'm afraid to say that now I have broken my leg, I cannot get my bike boots on so am unable to ride the bike as yet. I have also been told to limit the driving to as little as possible. I therefore will have to say sorry, but I won't be there.

Thanks for the updates folks.

Currently trying to decide (given forecast of rain) whether we'd be better to barbecue or cook a vat or chili or curry to eat indoors!

Well sadly very doubtful I will be able to make it due to new job, need to move, no cash, bad weather, no time pick one. This month is interesting...

Sadly count me out.

In the great British bank holiday "we're going to have fun regardless of the weather" spirit, we're still planning to barbecue on Sunday. :)

Forecast implies it might rain, but there shouldn't be too much wind so we should be ok to cook. We'll rig up the tarpaulin over the grape vine trellis as a giant umbrella just in case  We have barbecued very successfully under such conditions before.

I'm not going to be able to eat all the white choc icecream myself (and still hope to fit into my leathers!) so hope to see lots of you on Sunday lunchtime

Excellent BBQ Eleanor & Andy,

Delicious :piglet: !!

Got back all fine, but properly raining down here in the New Forest whan we got back. Nicky was quite glad we took the car in the end!

Sorry there weren't more others from UKMOC, but it meant we had the choclate ice cream to ourselves! :)

Thanks again!

Thanks for coming - glad you also had a good afternoon. (The cats seemed to appreciate your company as well).

It's drizzling here now - we were lucky with the weather earlier.

Enjoy roast pork sandwiches for the rest of the week - we will too!

So sorry I missed it - no good reason, just poor excuses. Sorry. (I came online too late - still learning about site - looking for next Hants meet - and found this - sorry, would have come had I been on here 24 hours sooner)
