Day 2 issue 1... Stuck waiting for the RAC

So project Monster has failed at the first hurdle and I'm stuck at my girlfriend's waiting for the RAC. Bike turns over but just won't catch.

I think water has gotten somewhere.

Ok, so it's not water. Turns out something is not right with the carbs. The top cylinder was flooding whilst the bottom was dry. RAC shut off the fuel and kept it turning over until it eventually fired.

Any ideas?

Also how do I turn up the idle? I'm waiting on delivery of my Haynes manual.

Idle speed can be adjusted as follows

One of my carbs is also flooding - turning the fuel off means it fires up right away or else floods the cylinder. Thats a carbs off and apart job to sort out the float heights.

When you said rac turned off fuel and turned it over until it fired, did it fire on one or both?

Fired on both, I think.

You must be 100% sure and logical while fault finding or it's a waste of time
