Hi, i'm after the above as one of the threads has gone in mine.
I have no idea if the same part is used over the 750 and 900, or over what years.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi,
I cant help with spares, but my suggestion would be to have a heli-coil installed. its a steel thread that makes good and is actually stronger than original.
any engineering company should be able to sort you out. i have a few sizes but am not entirely sure of the required size till i get home and check. i'll repost and let you know if it helps?

Hi mate, i was thinking of fitting a helicoil but i'm not sure how long the inserts are. The hanger is 10mm thick at that point, if the helicoil is longer than this then it might well have clearance issues with the disc..

If you have any m8's could you kindly measure one for me?
Thanks,
Nick

Helicoils can bought in many lengths to suit your needs, so an 8mm one should be avaliable. You can also shorten longer ones with care using a grinder/Dremel. Certainly the cheapest way to go and stronger than the original thread.

Ah, i didnt think of shortening one...

Thanks guys, i think that is the route i will take, i can get a kit for £15 which is half the price of a replacement hanger from ebay.
Thanks,
Nick
